Black Maternal Health

Black women in the United States are at higher risk of pregnancy complications in part because of proximity exposure to toxins and air pollutants. They’re also three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than white women. This crisis has been going on for too long, and it’s past time to act.

Join concerned Californians in letting public officials know that we must do more to protect Black women and their unborn children from environmental hazards that have life-long consequences.
